Dear BelovEd Families,
When BelovEd Community Charter School first opened its doors in 2012, I could not have imagined the incredible journey we would take together. As a founding member of the Board of Trustees, it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to help support and guide a school that truly lives up to its name—BelovEd.
This school is deeply personal to me. Not only have I had the privilege of serving on the Board since our doors opened, but I am also a proud BelovEd parent. Both of my daughters walked these halls, learned in these classrooms, were nurtured by our extraordinary educators, and ultimately graduated as confident, compassionate young women. Watching them grow here affirmed everything I believed about the vision and mission of this school.
I was born and raised in Jersey City, and I am a proud product of the Jersey City Public School system. This community shaped me, and BelovEd reflects the very best of what a community-centered school can be—high expectations, deep care for the whole child, and a fierce belief in the brilliance of our children. BelovEd is more than a school; it is a family, a safe haven, and a beacon of opportunity.
To our parents and caregivers: thank you. Thank you for entrusting us with your children, for partnering with us, and for being active members of this remarkable community. Your support, advocacy, and belief in BelovEd are what make this school thrive.
As Board President, and as a Jersey City native, parent, and lifelong supporter of public education, I want you to know how deeply committed I am to sustaining and strengthening BelovEd for generations to come.
