In this video, Jomayra Rodriguez, the Academic Dean at our elementary school, speaks about a tutoring partnership we have implemented with an organization named Tutored by Teachers. This partnership is one of the many ways we are addressing the impact on our scholars of statewide school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jomayra describes how the tutoring is helping scholars close learning gaps and how wonderful it is to see our diverse students, including our special needs students, make so much academic progress. The success of the program is evident as students advance from needing urgent intervention to being at or above their grade level.
